Description

INTENT TO AWARD TO NEWLY APPROVED SOURCES This announcement is in support of the DLA Land & Maritime breakout program. New DLA Land & Maritime contracting guidance establishes a preference for multiple awards when an alternate source is approved through the Alternate Offer or Source Approval Request (SAR) process on an item that was previously purchased noncompetitively. Multiple awards will be considered if, after considering the additional administrative costs and other relevant factors, it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Instructions for submitting a SAR can be found at http://www.landandmaritime.dla.mil/offices/valuemanagement/. Additional information about the award preference will be included in solicitations in which the preference applies. This announcement is for information purposes only and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose.
