- This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued for market research purposes only. This RFI is not a Request for Quotation or Proposal (RFQ/RFP) and a solicitation is not being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition methodology. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested may assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition methodology. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (NCO 12), Dept. of Veterans Affairs, is seeking information from sources capable of providing third party management of supplemental (emergent need) prescription claims processing for Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12. These services would be required for emergency prescription services and would comprise of the following: "VA would reimburse the contractor a set price for prescriptions filled through local pharmacies (within 10 miles of the VA facility) at the request of the Veteran's care provider; the veteran is not charged. "Only new prescription fills will be requested by the VA; prescription fills will be limited to a maximum of 14 days. "Prescriptions will be filled for legend drugs listed in the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Formulary of Drugs and Expendable Supplies. This requirement would not be for the direct filling of prescriptions or dispensing of medications by the contractor, but for the contractor's third party management of prescription claims processing. These services may be required for a base year and up to four option years. Locations that may require these services include the following facilities and CBOCs: William S. Interested parties may submit information regarding their affiliated network of pharmacies and pricing information regarding their fees per prescription fill and drug price list(s). All information shall be submitted in MS Word or Adobe PDF format including all attachments. Each party's submission shall also include the following information: Organization Name Organization Address Point-of-Contact (including name, title, address, telephone number, and email address) DUNS Number Business Size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size) Socio-Economic Status (i.e. small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, etc.) NAICS Code Any other pertinent information The response date for this RFI is November 7, 2014.
