Description
This Sources Sought will be used for market research purposes only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. The Government is seeking responses from businesses capable of providing software license renewal or an alternate software program with equivalent specifications. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Seeking companies able to provide a software program with the EXACT specifications and capabilities of Lattix Enterprise. Specifications of the Lattix software includes, but is not limited to: Lattix Enterprise is a Windows based, single software application that integrates Lattix Architect and Lattix Analyst. Lattix Architect and Lattix Analyst are desktop applications that enable a hardware or software systems engineer to create Dependency Models of complex, highly interactive systems, including applications, databases, services, and configuration files. Lattix Architect provides a capability to analyze a system architecture in detail (e.g. automatically import SysML files), edit the structure to create what if and should be architectures, and create design rules to formalize and communicate that architecture to design organizations. Lattix Analyst works with Lattix Architect to perform such tasks as impact analysis and rules verification across inter dependent code modules, organizational information flows, or hardware dependencies such as physical location, energy transfer, and so on. The combination of these two applications enables a systems engineer to: * Understand the detailed dependency of every low level element in the system structure of interest (hardware, software, organizational, etc.) * Leverage the imbedded decomposition hierarchy to enable massive scalability * Re engineer systems and generate work lists for entire engineering organizations and system design teams * Design rules to allow precise specification of layering and componentization - critical elements of adaptable and flexible design * Control how 3rd party software libraries are used * Create and apply metrics to measure complexity, stability, cyclicality, coupling and other measures of system component interaction * Leverage the open applications program interface (API) of Lattix Enterprise to extend, customize and integrate new algorithms into the existing software tool chain Software must: 1. Report all results to xls, csv, xml, jpg, png, and html formats (as a minimum). 2. Allow atom database and member level management for system expansion and redesign. 3. Create layered dependence structure matrices (DSM). 4. Create conceptual architecture diagrams and be able to import SysML models. 5. Enable structure editing 6. Apply partitioning and restructuring algorithms. 7. Perform dependency filtering. 8. Allow for new metric definition and integration into resident analytics. 9. Enable scripts, custom reporting. 10. Enable design rule viewing, editing, creation. 11. Enable rule violation identification. RESPONSES MUST INCLUDE DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUGGESTED SOFTWARE. Responses due on November 4, 2014.
