- Special Notice in French and English SPECIAL NOTICE for HAITIAN ORGANIZATIONS and BUSINESSES LOCAL SOLUTIONS CONFERENCE USAID/Haiti will host a Local Solutions Conference on November 20 and 21, 2014 in Cap Haitien and invites local development partners (NGOs, civil society organizations, and Haitian businesses) to learn more about "How to Do Business with USAID in Haiti." Why does USAID/Haiti want to work with local organizations?: Local organizations are well-positioned to address key development challenges in innovative ways through their first-hand knowledge of the Haitian economy. The Schedule is as follows: NOVEMBER 20, 2014: DAY 1, SESSION 1: FOR HAITIAN CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS AND NGOs 8am - 9am: Registration 9am - 10am: How to Do Business with USAID 10am - 12pm: Local Solutions Annual Program Statement and Request for Applications Kombit Project DAY 1, SESSION 2: FOR HAITIAN BUSINESSES 1pm - 2pm: Registration 2pm - 3pm: How to Do Business with USAID 3pm - 5pm: Public Private Partnerships Presentation NOVEMBER 21, 2014: DAY 2, SESSION 1: FOR HAITIAN BUSINESSES 8am - 9am: Registration 9am - 10am: How to Do Business with USAID FOR HAITIAN CONSTRUCTION FIRMS 10am - 12pm: Stand Alone Road Activity Logistics: The Conference will be held Hôtel du Roi Christophe at Rue 24, Cap-Haitien, Haiti. The Conference is free but participants must cover all personal costs of attending. Coffee and refreshments will be provided to all participants. Participation is limited to one individual per organization and USAID reserves the right to limit participation based on space availability.
