NOTICE DATE NOVERMBER 05, 2014 NOTICE TYPE: Pre-solicitation Notice NAICS: 423440 - OTHER COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT MERCHANT WHOLESALERS Contracting office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815 Norfolk, VA 23510 The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), is soliciting a requirement to perform annual life raft inspections on seven (7) NOAA Ships Ferdinand R. Hassler, Okeanos Explorer, Gordon Gunter, Thomas Jefferson, Pisces, Orgeon II and Henry Bigelow. Provide all labor, material and equipment to perform the fire equipment inspections, in accordance with the attached Statements of Work. The purchase order of the service agreement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR 6.202(a)(3). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423440, with a corresponding size standard of 100 employees. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statements of Work is also listed separately for each vessel in the line item detail of the solicitation. Solicitation number EA-133M-15-RQ-0043 will be issued November 05, 2014 via FedBizOpps at www.FBO.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above. The solicitation will close November 17, 2014 at 11 AM, Eastern Time. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified in the solicitation. In invitations for bids, if the contracting officer determines that multiple awards might be made, if doing so is economically advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. To be eligible for award, vendors must obtain a DUNS number (this may be done by calling 1-800-333-0505) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov. The anticipated award date is on or about November 19, 2014. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
