Description
The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement to modify and qualify a Driver Amplifier Metal Semiconductor Field Effect Tranisitor (MESFET) for use in the F/A-18 APG-73 Radar System due to obsolescence. The Navy intends to negotiate the effort as a sole source order to the F/A-18 and EA-18G Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon Company, El Segundo, CA. Award of the order will be made with the authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the prime contractor and original designer of the APG-73 Radar, Raytheon has the manufacturing knowledge, experience and technical data required to fulfill this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. For small business and subcontracting opportunities, contact Raytheon's Supplier Diversity Advocate, Nancy Howard, 1200 South Jupiter Road, Garland, TX 75042. Ph: 972.205.4993 or e-mail at sas.supplier.diversity@raytheon.com. See Numbered Note 22.
