- Notice of Intent to Sole Source American Medical Informatics Association Annual Membership Special Notice VA701-15-N-0022 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Program Contract Activity - Central intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate with the American Medical Informatics Association, Inc (AMIA) for the purchase of AMIA Corporate Memberships. AMIA has a unique role in promoting the effective organization, analysis, management, and use of information in healthcare in support of patient care, public health, teaching, research, administration, and related policy. AMIA's Corporate membership provides an opportunity to engage directly with established and emerging leaders in informatics. Through the Industry Advisory Council (IAC), AMIA Corporate Members can serve as counsel to and as an influential feedback channel for board?initiated collaborations and investigations. The Corporate membership also affords opportunities for involvement in AMIA's advocacy, strategy and public policy initiatives. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
