- 1.SCOPE: The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center (GVSMVAMC) requires maintenance and support for 7 each AESTIVA/5 7900 systems and 1 each AESPIRE unit. 2.BACKGROUND: GVSMVAMC has the AESTIEVA/5 7900 systems. Due to the complex and proprietary nature of the system, a service contract for technical support is required. 3.SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS: Contractor shall provide corrective and preventive maintenance support for the AESTIVA/5 7900 systems (7 each) and AESPIRE unit (1 each). Technical phone support will be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Issues that cannot be addressed over the phone will be responded to by a contractor on site. Clinical phone support shall be provided Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Definitions: COR: Contracting Officer's Representative GVSMVAMC: G.V. If support call is deemed mission-critical, contractor will be on-site performing corrective action response to service calls. All work is to be performed by competent personal, experienced, and qualified to work on equipment. All work performed shall be in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, including but not limited to: adjustments, calibrating, cleaning, lubricating, testing, disassembly, checkout, replacement of parts, etc; required to keep the equipment in operating condition. Contractor shall guarantee that all equipment covered by this contract shall be in optimum working condition at the expiration date. Communication Services: Service Call: Time and materials for service calls are included. Help Desk Support: Remote services and technical telephone support shall be provided 24x7. Clinical telephone support will be provided during standard business hours. Upgrades: Software and hardware updates for reliability and performance enhancement shall be included. Contractor Qualifications: Contractor personnel shall be trained and qualified to work on all components of the microscopes. Contractor personnel shall provide proof of pertinent successful completion of training and/or certification, upon customer inquiry. Hours of Performance: All services shall be performed during normal working hours of coverage from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm as scheduled with the Biomedical Engineering Department.
