- This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 8.405. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. DLA Information Operations New Cumberland sited at Corpus Christi, Texas requires Information Technology (IT) Support Services for hardware, software, and telecommunications to support all IT equipment. DLA Distribution Acquisition Operations Contracting Office (J7) located at New Cumberland, PA intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed priced purchase order to Diverse Technologies Corporation (DTC). This short term award will provide uninterrupted service to the Government for nine (9) months. Contract SP3300-11-C-1009 is currently in place with DTC, but will expire on 14 November 2014. DTC is currently providing the services in a satisfactory manner and has the experienced resources in place to perform the required tasks. DLA Distribution Acquisition Operations Contracting Office (J7) located at New Cumberland, PA is in the process of re-competing the services under Solicitation SP3300-14-R-0002. Issuing a new contract to another contractor would not be logical, efficient, or cost effective for the Government. The point of contact for this action is Contract Specialist Genesis Griffin.
