Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation and qualified personnel for the packaging, transport, and disposal of hazardous waste from the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System medical campuses, located in Tucson Arizona. There will be Approximately twelve (12) pickups per year and are anticipated to be scheduled each year on dates that meet the requirements of applicable EPA regulations and the needs of the respective facility, a small quantity generator. Wastes will be shipped out frequently enough to ensure that the facility does not exceed storage timeframes to remain in a small quantity generator. This contract will cover a wide variety of waste streams, including chemical, chemotherapeutic, and universal (batteries, fluorescent bulbs, mercury, and non-empty and empty aerosol cans), etc., but will not include the disposal of radioactive materials, PCB's, or biological waste.
