Description
Dear Prospective Offerors: The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires the services of a qualified contractor to provide the oversight and Maintenance of Program for Response Options and Technological Enhancements for Chemical/Biological Terrorism (PROTECT) System as detailed in the specifications for the base period of six (6) months and four (4) 12 month option periods. Due to the sensitive nature of the requirement, this solicitation will be conducted as a Two-Step Request for Proposals. Step one will be a Qualification of Sources to qualify offerors having the appropriate technical and managerial skills, and appropriate financial and personnel resources to provide the services as will be specified in Step Two by amendment. Step two will be the request for technical and price proposals. The Statement of Work will be added to the solicitation by amendment for Step Two. If you have any questions, Technical, Contractual, or Administrative, please e-mail them to mdglimp@wmata.com no later than Close of Business, November 13, 2014, at 12:00 PM. WMATA will provide written answers, by e-mail to all those who obtain the RFP and provide their e-mail addresses. Your Step 1 proposal must be received with all required submittals as stated in the RFP, no later than 1:00 PM, November 21, 2014, at WMATA, Office of Procurement and Materials, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Room 3C-02, Washington, DC 20001-2651.
