- Full Announcement 12 NOV 2014 The purpose of this acquisition is to provide continued product maintenance and support for Formark specific products and applications 'Outside, CWA and LLCOM'. Formark Outside allows organizations that use Livelink for internal collaboration to also engage clients and partners anywhere in the world. The Formark application extracts only the Livelink functions used by a project and creates a 'padded cell' web application that makes it easy for external clients and partners to do valid interactions with Livelink while hiding all the capabilities of Livelink that they don't need and shouldn't touch. In addition, ONR/CIO is using Formark's unique LLCOM technology, which puts a high-level Microsoft COM object wrapper around Livelink's standard API. This allows Livelink to be called from any standard Microsoft environment, including applications written in Visual Basic or Visual C++, or from web pages that use ASP or ASP.NET.
