Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs NCO 6 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Werfen USA, LLC for the below items to be used with the GEM 3500 and GEM 4000 Premier Blood Analyzers. The facility will require 2 GEM 3500 and 2 GEM 4000. The estimated yearly usage is listed below for the consumables. The VA intend to issue a contract with a base and (4) four optional years. 1.GEM 3500 Cartridges BG/HCT/LYTES/GLU/LAC 150 Test IOM. 18 EA. 2.GEM Premier 4000/3500 Printer Paper. 4 PK. 3.CVP MultiPak. 4 PK. 4.PVP BG, LYTES, Metabolites. 2 PK. 5.PVP Crit. 2 PK 6.GEM 4000 Cartriges BG/HCT/LYTES/G/L/CO-Ox 150 Test IOM 24 EA. 7.GEM Premier 4000/3500 Printer Paper. 4 PK. 8.GEM Premier 4000 Ampoule Breaker. 4 PK. 9.CVP 1. 4 PK. 10.CVP 2. 4 PK. 11. PVP BG, LYTES, Metabolites. This procurement is in support of Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by November 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses received from the notice mentioned above and additional market research. This notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
