The Army needs an imaging system (Brand Name or Equal) to document and quantitate multiple signals including proteins and nucleic acids in gels and blots (membranes). Minimal Essential Characteristics Brand Name or Equal Imaging system to document and quantitate multiple signals including proteins and nucleic acids in gels and blots (membranes) 1)Must have a peltier cooling CCD camera to ensure high-resolution imaging and sensitivity with reduced background 2)Must be compatible with stain-free technology with gel and blot protocols 3)Must be a system with available excitation sources to detect multiple forms of signals including colorimetric, chemiluminescent and fluorescent signals 4)Must be a system which can perform high level of automation in hardware calibration, image optimization, image capture and analysis 5)Must be a system which can automatically select the appropriate filters, light sources and camera settings for all applications 6)Must be a system which allows automated workflow from image capture to results recorded in a protocol file 7)Must have the capability of automated multichannel image view and color-coded analysis to automatically generate a multiplex image file for easy viewing of individual and multiple images and quantitate data in a color-coded analysis table 8)Must be a system which can acquire images with automatic focus and iris adjustments for all compatible applications 9)Must be a system which can generate publishing resolution and publishing dimension with quote mark one-click quote mark to export images for publication 10)Must be a system which can produce customizable reports with data organized as desired, including lane and band identification, molecular weight or base pair evaluation.
