- alternating-current/direct-current motors (AC/DC) and motor generator (mg) sets Synopsis ***The subject posting is a SYNOPSIS. This is not a Solicitation.*** The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) has a requirement for management, technical services, labor, material support services, equipment, and facilities to accomplish repair of ACDC Motors and MG Sets. The repair will include required support to disconnect (electrically and mechanically), inspect and report, repair or refurbish, rewind, clean and re-assemble, shop test, reinstall, re-connect, and shipboard test AC/DC Motors and MG Sets. The work to be furnished will be accomplished primarily on U.S. Navy vessels and other military type vessels located in a 50-mile radius of MARMC, Portsmouth, VA, but may be accomplished worldwide. This procurement will be solicited and awarded under full and open competition after exclusion of sources in accordance with FAR 6.2 as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. In addition, this procurement will utilize the policies and procedures of FAR Part 15 "Contracting by Negotiation". The applicable NAICS code is 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) with a small business size standard of 1,000. This procurement is not restricted to MSRA/ABR contractors. Contractors that are interested in this procurement may send an e-mail providing all point of contact information (company name and address, primary and secondary points of contact, telephone phone number, and e-mail addresses) to MARMC_NRKF_411_PROCUREMENT@navy.mil and subsequently will receive a courtesy notification when the solicitation is posted. The proposed acquisition will be a multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed Priced contract. The period of performance for the resulting contract will be for one (1) twelve-month base period with four (4) twelve-month option periods. All options will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 17.206(a). A complete solicitation package will be available for download via FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or around 04 December 2014. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; MARMC will not issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any U.S. federal agency. Failure to self-certify may be grounds for the U.S. Government to refuse the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
