- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a non-competitive solicitation to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (LM MST) of Liverpool, NY for procurement of Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 2 FY15 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) units and engineering support services. The anticipated solicitation will likely include: (a) a firm-fixed-price contract line item(s) for FY15 Small RCS (AN/SLQ-32C(V)6) SEWIP Block 2 units, (b) cost-plus-fixed-fee option contract line item(s) for engineering services in support of LRIP units, (c) cost-plus-fixed-fee option contract line item(s) for field engineering services in support of LRIP units, and (d) cost-only contract line item(s) for travel in support of provided services. SEWIP Block 2 will greatly improve the receiver/antenna group necessary to keep capabilities current with the pace of the threat, and further improve system integration. Disclaimer: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via FEDBIZOPPS, and interested parties must comply with that announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation, and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
