- FAST RESCUE BOAT (FRB) TROUBLESHOOT, REPAIR & UPGRADE AND PROGRAMMABLE DISTRIBUTION MODULE (PDM) REPLACEMENT NOTICE DATE NOVEMBER 20, 2014 NOTICE TYPE: Pre-solicitation Notice NAICS: 336612 - SPEED CHANGER, INDUSTRIAL HIGH-SPEED DRIVE AND GEAR MANUFACTURING Contracting office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815 Norfolk, VA 23510 The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations, NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer, is soliciting a requirement for the troubleshoot, repair and upgrade of their Fast Rescue Boat EX-01 and Programmable Distribution Module replacement. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purchase order of the service agreement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR 6.202(a)(3). The associated NAICS code is 336612. The small size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class is J019 - Maintenance and Repair of Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons and Floating Docks. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is December 13 2014 - January 6, 2015. Solicitation number EA-133M-15-RQ-0075 will be issued November 20, 2014 via FedBizOpps at www.FBO.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above. The solicitation will close November 26, 2014. In order to be considered for Award, vendors must have Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Certification. In addition, to be considered for Award, vendors must provide proof of the ability to perform repairs/services from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. To be eligible for award, vendors must obtain a DUNS number (this may be done by calling 1-800-333-0505) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov. The anticipated award date is on or about December 2, 2014. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
