- Description
- The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is working to update draft Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for Global Network Services (GNS). GNS is planned as a multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a 5-year base, plus 5, one-year option periods. GNS will provide DISA with a vehicle to procure leased telecommunications services in support of the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and DoD Information Network (DoDIN) worldwide. GNS will also support DISA and DoD strategic initiatives, including the Joint Information Environment (JIE), by providing seamless transport services across contract boundaries, single security architecture, network normalization, positive control, encryption, and other capabilities needed to support the warfighter globally, independent of technology. Updated draft GNS documents are now being uploaded on the All Partners Access Network (APAN) site at the following link: https://wss.apan.org/s/GNS-docs/default.aspx. If you do not have an APAN account, you will be prompted to create one upon clicking the hyperlink. If you already have an account, simply log in. You will receive an "access denied" message. Click the link that says "Request Access", fill out the requested information, and your request will be sent for approval. Please include the name of your company in the request. The draft GNS PWS, draft Task Order Statement of Objectives, draft RFP Section L, and draft RFP Section M are now available on APAN. T he draft circuit lists are also available for distribution and the instructions for obtaining the lists have been posted to APAN. Prospective vendors can submit questions and/or comments on the draft GNS documents to: Mr. Nick Friederich (nicholas.s.friederich.civ@mail.mil) and Mr. Kevin Eversgerd (kevin.t.eversgerd.civ@mail.mil). Please send in all comments/questions using the GNS Vendor Comment Matrix located on APAN. The Government will summarize the questions and provide responses on APAN. Vendor input may be used to refine GNS requirements.
