- Questions and Answers from the Pre-Bid Meeting Questions and Answers (Q&A's) from the November 19th Pre-Bid Meeting for this project have been included as an attachment to this Solicitation. This Solicitation is modified to include the attached clause (deviation) 52.222-99 that will require contractors to pay a minimum wage to contractor employees as indicated in the attachment. The USDA Forest Service, Lake States Acquisition Team announces a Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity to bid on Renovation of the Hiawatha National Forest Munising Bunkhouse Bathroom in Munising, Michigan. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of the existing shower areas including plumbing, electric, and mechanical. Construction of two (2) new bathrooms including shower, sink, toilet, and appurtenances. The project will require miscellaneous carpentry, selective demolition, electrical, plumbing, and concrete patching. The contractor shall provide all management and project administration services, quality control, labor, supervision, equipment and materials to complete the project on time and on schedule. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236118. The Small Business Administration size standard is $33.5 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have completed the online representations and certifications. Contractors must also register in the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) for payment purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about November 5th, 2014 and bids will be accepted to December 5th, 2014. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website. This project is located in Alger County of Michigan and applicable Davis-Bacon Wage Rates apply. Prospective offerors are advised per FAR 52.232-18 that funds are not presently available for this contract and no award can be made unless and until funds become available. A PRE-BID/PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE will be held on November 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time at the Munising Bunkhouse site located at 601 Cedar Street in Munising, Michigan.
