Description

The student will work provide laboratory and field support for the research projects. Specific duties include assist the research staff in 1) fabrication of laboratory and field equipment and preparation for laboratory and field studies; 2) collection of laboratory and field data, including the deployment, maintenance, and retrieval of equipment in environmental chambers, mesocosms, and streams in the surrounding Cincinnati area and possibly in eastern Kentucky; 3) laboratory processing of laboratory and field samples; and 4) compile and summarize data into organized computer data files. General laboratory support duties may include maintaining research supplies and materials, routine maintenance of field and laboratory equipment, and other duties necessary to carry out the study. The student will perform duties, as requested, according to specifications and instructions provided by the mentor. Where appropriate, the student will maintain careful and accurate records in designated field and laboratory notebooks. These notebooks, and all other data produced under this order will be the property of the Environmental Protection Agency.
