Description

This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regard to its submission. The Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding partys expense. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. 1. Background The Joint Deployment Training Center (JDTC) is considering an acquisition strategy to bring two classrooms and two conference rooms into compliance with 21st century training and communication technology and standards. The JDTC needs this information to inform near term decisions about how to best develop a competitive specification 2. Purpose In order to develop the most efficient and competitive specification for a solicitation, the J DTC is requesting information from industry to help determine the most economical, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) sources of production. JDTC is open to a range of possible options including but not limited to: designs, server/software setup, maintenance, extended warranty information, on-going support costs, and end-user training on system utilization. JDTC is particularly interested in exploiting any viable synergies with commercial multimedia classroom and conference systems. Results of this RFI constitute market research and are not binding. The Government encourages respondents to leverage their information submission with relevant past performance data. Again, this RFI is for market research purposes only.
