Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - This Is A Notice Of The Government's Intent To Issue A Sole Source Award To Science and Technology In Atmospheric Research Institute (STAR Institute) pursuant to the statutory authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-2. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Acquisition Directorate, (AD) intends to award on a sole source basis to Science and Technology In Atmospheric Research Institute, Cage Code - 6BK45, 3125 Sterling Cir Unit 107 Boulder, CO 80301-5409. The Government anticipates a single award contract for the following: 1. A follow-on contract for continued support for the Meteorological Modeling System (MMS) Support to allow ample time to prepare and issue a solicitation for the new requirement to be competed on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. The Justification and Approval (J&A) will be posted to the FBO website. The follow-on contract will be for a period of four (4) months. 2. The MMS consists of equipment requiring Meteorological Modeling Support. This support is essential as the services must continue due to the nature of the program as it provides scientific and technical advice on Chemical, Biological, or Radiological (CBR) threats, vulnerabilities, defenses, and consequence management affecting the Pentagon Reservation, DoD Activities, and DoD occupied facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR). This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award.
