- Description
- This requirement is for first time repair of the M61A1 20mm Hydraulic Drive (HyDrive) to support sustainment of the 20mm Gatling gun on F-16 aircraft. The Hydrive consists of a control valve and a motor. The control valve uses solenoid operation pilot valves to actuate the motor control spool which regulates flow at both the inlet and outlet of the motor and provides the mechanical power to operate the 20 mm gatling gun. The Government intends to establish a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) limited competitive contract. NSN : 1005-01-061-8335 Reference Number : 217F429 Dimensions : 12.5" LENGTH; 9.5" WIDTH; 13" HEIGHT; 22.5 lbs. Material of Manufacture : Steel Function : Drive 20MM gun Quantities: Basic year: Basic Qty. 20 EA; Options: 4 Out-year Options of 1-14 EA This will be a limited competition requirement to only potential sources that have the capability of repairing this item, to include access to repair kits, as identified in drawing 217F429 which restricts the source of supply to those reflected in the Market Research Report. This effort is IAW Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 12 Dec 2014 with response due 12 Jan 2015. Delivery schedule to be two months ARO to SW3119. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. NO TECHNICAL DATA AVAILABLE. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contacting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
