Description: Request for Information (RFI)/ Sources Sought: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is requesting consultation information and sources in support of the development of a system based software concept tool that would be designed to support product cataloging capabilities in accordance with the Statement of Need (Attachment 1). In response to this RFI, interested sources are requested to provide capabilities and information pertaining in meeting or exceeding the technical standards in the Statement of Need. An Industry day will be held on December 10th, 2014, at 10300 Spotsylvania Avenue, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. Participation in Vendor day is strictly voluntary on the part of the Vendor and is solely for information and planning purposes ONLY and does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quotes (RFQ), an Invitation for Bids (IFB), or any other solicitation vehicle. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with attending this Industry Day. VA also reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel this Industry Day. Each vendor will have 20 minutes to do a presentation that demonstrates both an understanding and solution capability in meeting the Statement of Need requirements. There will be an estimated 15 minute question and answer period following each presentation. If you plan on attending vendor day, please contact Regina McGregor at Regina.McGregor@va.gov to set up a time for your presentation. The response time for participating in the vendor day will be December 3rd, 2014 at 12:00pm EST. The contractor will be limited in having three individuals in attendance. All individuals must bring a driver's license or other Government ID with picture. When contacting Ms. McGregor, the individuals who are attending will need to be identified. This information may result in future solicitations/future awards of enterprise-wide contracts or agreements. This sources sought encourages potential contractors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation substantiating they have the services and capabilities they feel meet the stated requirement. Further, it is intended to assess industry's capability to support and/or develop an adequate solution to the Government's continuing need(s). The Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541611 (Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services). This sources sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 541611. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this RFI/ sources sought are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to any future solicitation announcement as a result of this RFI. Provide BUSINESS SIZE AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS; (a) Indicate whether your business is large or small (b) If small, indicate if your firm qualifies as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantages business (c) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (d) Indicate if your firm is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) (g) Include the DUNS number of your firm. (h) State whether your firm is registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov and/or the VetBiz Registry at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. If not, please NOTE that any future solicitation could only be awarded to a contractor who is registered in SAM and to receive award based on VOSB or SDVOSB status you must be registered in the VetBiz Registry (i) link to the respondents General Services Administration (GSA) schedule, or attached file of same, if applicable (j) citation of any current or past customers (i.e., within the past two (2) years) to include contract number, point of contact telephone number or e-mail address; and (k) other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the firm. Questions regarding this RFI are due by 12:00pm EDT, Dec 8th, 2014. Responses are due by 3pm EDT, Dec 12th, 2014.
