- The overall objective of the contractor is to provide sampling, grading, checkweighing, checkloading, sanitation inspections, condition of container inspection, and acceptance services for grain, rice, processed commodities, and graded commodities according to {1} all pertinent specifications, instructions, standards, directives, memorandums, etc., and {2} procedures stated in the Grain Inspection Handbook; Pea and Lentil Handbook; Processed Commodities Handbook; Bean Inspection Handbook; Sanitation Inspection Handbook for Rice, Beans, Peas, Lentils and Processed Commodities; Mechanical Sampling Systems Handbook; and Weighing Handbook. Grain, rice, processed commodity, and graded commodity inspection and related services, may include but are not limited to corn, wheat, soybeans, rice, sorghum, edible bean sampling, quality analysis, grade determination, and related services. The USDA, GIPSA FGIS Office in Washington, DC intends to procure Commodity Inspection and Weighing Services across several locations, generally the middle and southern United States. The Statement of Work will list the complete requirements as well as the specific locations. The duration of this contract will be from Date of Award and run continuous for up to 5 years (60) months. Solicitation AG-6395-15-0008 will be remain open on Federal Business Opportunities until a time when all program needs are met or no longer necessary. The USDA intends to award a Firm-fixed price Blanket Purchase Order (BPA) commercial contracts resulting from this solicitation. This will be best value procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Quote (RFQ) AG-6395-S-15-0008, will be released on or about November 24, 2014 and posted on this FEDBIZOPPS website. Please download the RFP from this website. All responsible offers may submit an offer to the solicitation. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at this site. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER'S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE.
