- The intent of this sources sought notice is to identify potential Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned or Women-Owned Small Business firms capable of demolishing Building 1A located onboard Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. Demolition will include the basement, appurtenances, foundation and footings. Demolition will also include capping of all utilities serving the building and removal of the utilities back to the nearest valve meter or point of connection with the main service. All disturbed land will be properly filled and graded, landscaped and seeded. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Mid-Atlantic PWD GL, Great Lakes, Illinois is seeking either individual firms or Joint Venture firms nationwide capable of performing the project mentioned above. The estimated cost of this potential project is between $500,000.00 and $800,000.00. The NAICS Code is 541620 with an annual size standard of $20.5 million. The proposed procurement is being considered as a set-aside under small business, section 8(a), HUBZone, Service Veteran Owned Small Business Program or Women-Owned small business concerns. Firms are requested to submit their Sources Sought Questionnaire which will be the basis for the Government ™s decision to establish this requirement as a small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or Women-Owned small business concerns set-aside acquisition. Interested small businesses, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or Women-Owned small business concerns are encouraged to submit a Source Sought Questionnaire. The Sources Sought Questionnaire must describe in detail the firm ™s capability to provide demolition and site restoration services within the estimated dollar range. The Sources Sought Questionnaire may be submitted electronically to kenneth.d.seymour@navy.mil; FAX 847-688-3689 or by hard copy to Ken Seymour, NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic PWD GL, 2625 Ray St., Bldg. 2016, Great Lakes, IL 60088. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will demolish Building 1A located onboard Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. Demolition will include the basement, appurtenances, foundation and footings. Demolition will also include capping of all utilities serving the building and removal of the utilities back to the nearest valve meter or point of connection with the main service. The Sources Sought Questionnaire must be complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firm ™s qualifications to perform the defined work. Receipt of potential offeror ™s sources sought package shall be received no later than Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. If issued, the solicitation will utilize source selection procedures, which require offerors to submit technical experience, past performance, safety and price for evaluation by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. Estimated award date for this potential contract is early 2015.
