- This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses capable of providing waste removal and recycle services. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center 1100 Tunnel Road Asheville, North Carolina 28805 is seeking potential sources capable of providing management, supervision, licenses, tools, supplies, equipment, materials, transportation and labor to provide waste removal, recycle of paper, plastic, and aluminum in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. The applicable NAICS Code is 562111- Solid Waste Service with a size standard of $35.5M. Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) listed below, THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION LIST: VA MEDICAL CENTER-ASHEVILLE WASTE REMOVAL AND RECYCLING PROGRAM 1. GENERAL: Contractor shall provide for all management, supervision, licenses, laboratory, tools, supplies, equipment, materials, transportation and labor to develop and implement Waste Removal and Disposal and Recycle of paper, cardboard and aluminum for the VA Medical Center,1100 Tunnel Rd Asheville NC. Provide one-self-contained compactor container of a 1.11 cubic yard compactor charge box and 30 cubic yard container for building #47 Pick up, haul, and dump one 30 cubic yard container (twice (2) a week) on Tuesday and Friday Provide, pick up, haul, and dump one 4 yard container for building #15. Regular waste. Once (1) per week. Provide, pick up, haul, and dump one 4 yard container for cardboard recycling for building #15 Twice (2) per week. Provide, pick up, haul, and dump one 4 yard container for building #14. Regular waste. Once (1) per week and as needed on call basis. Provide, pick up, haul, and dump one 8 yard container for building #14. Wood Scrap. Once (1) per month pick up or as needed on call basis. Provide, pick up, haul, and dump one 8 yard container for building #12. Regular waste. Once (1) every other week. Contractor to ensure all containers are labeled in accordance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations. Contractors are required to have Bodily Injury Liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Contractors are required to have Property Damage Liability insurance coverage of at least $500,000 ¦. 2. Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed for the Charles George VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Rd Asheville NC. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; brief capability statement of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
