- BARDA Pre-solicitation Notice BARDA seeks to provide a contract mechanism through which husbandry and veterinary care services can be obtained for the maintenance of a herd of USG-owned horses that were used in the manufacture of the FDA-approved heptavalent Botulinum Antitoxin (hBAT). This acquisition will provide animal husbandry and veterinary care services to maintain a herd of 90 to 100 USG draft horses used to produce immunotherapeutics for the treatment of botulism. The acquisition will require a Staffing Plan, Routine Daily Maintenance Plan, Routine and Emergency Veterinarian Services, Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan, Security plan; Herd Management Transition Plan; Relocation and Emergency Transportation Plan; and Program Management plan HHS, through ASPR and BARDA, contemplates a single award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The anticipated period of performance for any resultant contract will be for a total of up to 60 months. Additional details and requirements will be described in the solicitation.
