SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal or a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this is market research. The Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers is anticipating a future procurement for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) to obtain preventive maintenance, on demand repair work, and incidental construction for plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, control systems, fire protection, playgrounds, kitchen equipment, building systems, and roofing. These services will be provided for facilities located at Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Facilities at these locations are as follows: FORT BRAGG: Albritton Junior High School, Bowley Elementary School, Butner Elementary School, Devers Elementary School, Gordon Elementary School, Hampton Primary School, Irwin Intermediate School, Shugart Elementary School, Shugart Middle School, Bitz Intermediate School, Brewster Middle School, the District Superintendent's Office, and a Logistics/Warehouse Compound. CAMP LEJEUNE: Bitz Intermediate School, Brewster Middle School, Delalio Elementary School, Heroes Elementary School, Johnson Primary School, Lejeune High School, Tarawa Terrace I Primary School, Tarawa Terrace II Elementary School, the Community Superintendent's Office, and a Maintenance Compound. The Government anticipates awarding one contract for these locations to a source experienced in the following: - MECHANICAL SYSTEMS PREVENTIVE AND DEMAND MAINTENANCE - DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROL SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS - PLUMBING SYSTEMS PREVENTIVE AND DEMAND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS PREVENTIVE AND DEMAND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - KITCHEN EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - ROOF SYSTEMS AND SITE INSPECTION PREVENTIVE AND DEMAND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - BUILDING SYSTEMS AND PLAYGROUNDS INSPECTION PREVENTIVE AND DEMAND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR - FIRE SYSTEM INSPECTION, PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, DEMAND MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR Sources are sought for firms with a NAICS code of 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and with a small business standard of $15,000,000.00. We are requesting that all interested and qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in everyday business. At a minimum include: (1) how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle tasks associated with this sources sought; (2) summarize your past performance on projects completed which included work identified above; (3) bonding; provide your bonding capacity per contract. The Government will utilize this information in determining an acquisition strategy. Please state all of the socio-economic categories in which your company belongs (8(a), Hub-zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman Owned) Your capabilities statement must be submitted in writing to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, ATTN: Keith Westry, Contracting Office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA 23510. Electronic submissions WILL NOT be accepted. The capability statement must be submitted no later than 16 December 2014. Limit capability briefing package to 10 pages. This sources sought should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation of the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend responding to this request.
