Description
Photo of NAV/ACS Station Request for Information (RFI) Document The United States Air Force (USAF) in support of the C-130 Foreign Military Sales Business Development Office (AFLCMC/WLNI) is seeking information from interested parties on the potential upgrade of Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) System on C-130H aircraft for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). Upgrade to Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) System for the ROKAF and a form/fit/function upgrade/replacement for the Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation Unit (EGI) that is currently installed in the aircraft. The ROKAF has expressed an interest in upgrading the Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation Unit (EGI) on four (4) C-130H-30 aircraft and one complete set of spares with Form-Fit-Function to the existing components that will ensure compliance with all GATM directives. The ROKAF has expressed an interest in converting the Navigator's position from a one person location to a side-by-side position, one position for the Navigator and one for the Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO). Conversion includes removal of storage cabinets and crew bunk to give side-by-side crew locations. All associated equipment in the storage compartment and under the flight crew bunk will be relocated under the flight deck at approved locations. The ROKAF flies four (4) C-130H-30 aircraft (tail numbers: 0000006, 0000019, 0000030 and 0000036) manufactured in years 1983, 1984 and 1985 by Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company, Marietta, GA. USAF C-130 Program Office has not conducted a site survey of the aircraft; therefore it is assumed that the AN/AAR-47 Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) and all associated components initially installed on the aircraft have not changed since ROKAF took ownership of the aircraft to be modified. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to a contract for any supplies or services whatsoever. Further, the USAF is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. Further details are in the attached Request for Information (RFI)
