- Description
- This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market capabilities in relation to NAICS 622210, Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Hospitals, Size Standard $35.5M. The Network Contracting Organization in VISN 2 has a requirement for a contractor to provide long term psychiatric hospitalization within our catchment area, as described below. VISN 2 is comprised of five VA Medical Centers (Albany, Bath, Buffalo, Canandaigua, and Syracuse) and twenty-seven Community-based Outpatient Clinics. Our patient demographics span the functional continuum, with a sub-population of individuals suffering from persistent and pervasive mental conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc. Although a large number of these individuals are well managed in an outpatient setting, there is a subgroup that end up having multiple inpatient admissions and are extremely difficult to stabilize even with an episode of acute inpatient care. These individuals require hospitalization ranging from 30 days to over 356 when needed. Responses to this sources sought must include the following information. 1. General information of your hospital's name, address, contact person name, phone number, fax number, email address(s) and DUNS number and company website if available. 2. Type of business such as 8(a), small business, Hub Zone small business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business or Veteran owned small business. 3. Company experience with veterans requiring long term psychiatric hospitalization. Responses to this market survey should be in writing and shall be e-mailed to the attention of Jeanette Crooks, Contract Specialist at Jeanette.Crooks@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
