Description
M1112, 40mm Air Bursting Non-Lethal Munition The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Product Manager, Close Combat Systems (PM CCS) and the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM- ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ are currently seeking potential sources for the manufacture, inspection, testing, and delivery of the M1112, 40mm Air Bursting Non-Lethal Munition (ANLM) cartridges according to the Government-owned technical data package (TDP) and detail specification. The M1112 is a Radio Frequency (RF) proximity Non-Lethal munition that provides 2 modes of operation (proximity and delay) to delay, deter, distract, and incapacitate individuals at ranges of thirty five to three hundred meters fired from the M320. The M1112 round is comprised of an RF proximity electrical circuit, Liquid reserve battery, M550 Safe and Arm device, metal, plastic, and energetic components. The manufacturing process includes but is not limited to machining metal, molding plastic, pyrotechnics loading, energetic component assembly, case priming, propellant loading, and Load Assemble, and Pack (LAP) of the completed rounds. The U.S. Government (USG) anticipates soliciting for offerors located within the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB). The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is: 332993. The National Supply Number (NSN) is: 1310-01-590-7527 All responses shall be prepared in MS Word or PDF format and shall contain sufficient information to support the company's claim that it has the capability to manufacture, inspect, test and deliver the M1112. Interested sources should submit the following information: (1) A brief summary of capabilities, description of facilities, and relative experience in manufacturing 40mm rounds. (2) Experience with production of low cost electro-mechanical RF proximity fuzes. Experience to include high reliability soldering, surface mount printed wiring board assembly, and automated electronic inspection test equipment. (3) Ability to acquire, handle and store classified information and data up to the SECRET level. (4) Monthly production capacity and/or potential capacity. (5) Identification of any subcontractors that would be utilized in the manufacturing of the M1112 munition. (6) Ability to acquire facilities with sufficient safety clearance to handle, store, and transport energetic materials, components and explosively loaded fuzes. (7) A corporate point of contact, phone number, email address, and website (if available). (8) Identification of business size (and any socio-economic considerations), NAICS code, cage code, and DUNS number. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the United States Government (USG). If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Any documentation provided will not be returned. Interested sources should submit the requested information no later than 44 days from the date of this publication.
