- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis Announcement (SSSA). This SSSA is issued to assist the U.S. Government in performing market research to determine industry interest and sourcing capabilities. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. This is not a guarantee of a future Request for Proposal (RFP) or an award. This document should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Any information provided to the U.S. Government in response to this document will become property of the U.S. Government and will not be returned. The U.S. Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought notice. Potential sources must registered and current in System for Award Management (SAM) in order to respond to this solicitation. The purpose of this SSSA is to identify potential sources with the requisite experience and skill sets required to provide language translation services to support a conference between the South Carolina Army National Guard and various officials from the country of Columbia. Translation service will provide interpretation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish with emphasis on legal terms and concepts. Given the complexity and technical nature of this conference, a high level of interpreting/translation expertise is important to ensure the most accurate and highest quality of language support possible. Potential sources, either alone or with appropriate teaming partners, must demonstrate expertise and capability to perform as detailed in attached DRAFT Statement of Objective (SOO) and Statement of Work (SOW). Contractors who believe they possess the expertise and experience may submit a written capability statement including: -The companies' technical capabilities clearly indicating the ability to perform the tasks as delineated in the DRAFT SOO and SOW. -Any small business that believes they can accomplish this entire requirement should indicate their small business status (see FAR Part 19) in their capability statement. -The companies GSA Federal Supply Schedule if applicable. -The companies DUNN, TIN# and Cage codes. -Five references where Spanish to English/English to Spanish translation were performed. Ensure documentation shows points of contacts and telephone numbers. Request for information (RFI) to this solicitation are requested to be submitted no later than December 1, 2014, 2:00pm(EST). All questions will be collected and responded to for all to see. Ensure when sending a RFI, that the following are provided: company name, point of contact, email address and phone number are provided Responses to this solicitation are requested no later than December 17, 2014, 2:00pm(EST). Responses will be sent electronically via email to blake.s.cromer.civ@mail.mil. Vendors are requested to provide a point of contract for the company, telephone number, fax number, email, website address and complete physical address (no PO Box) with each submission.
