- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) anticipates conducting a competition under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and using procedures under the Contracting by Negotiation (FAR Part 15) for a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Bank Simulation and Instructor Support Services. The purpose of the Bank Simulation initiative is to both assess and enhance examiner's technical knowledge, critical thinking skills, researching skills and team work in a simulated banking environment. Use of a bank simulation model strives to enhance examiner development by providing a more comprehensive understanding of the "bankers perspective". This acquisition is 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. Competition is restricted to Small Businesses. The procurement will have a one (1) year base with four 12- month option year periods. The estimated date of award will be no later than May 1, 2015. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal will be released on or about December 10, 2014.
