Solicitation Number:VA256-15-R-0129 Notice Type:Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice Description:Solid Waste Landfill Disposal The Contractor shall accept and receive the Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA HealthCare System Non-Hazardous Solid Waste by providing Landfill disposal for the Non-Hazardous Solid Waste that will consist of compacted and non-compacted waste from compactors, roll-offs boxes, and open-top roll-off containers from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA HealthCare System, 2495 Shreveport Hwy 71, Pineville, Louisiana location in accordance with local, state, and federal laws for Non-Hazardous Solid Waste disposal. The Non-Hazardous Solid Waste will consist of Cardboard, Plastic, Paper, Glass, Scrap Metal, etc., and miscellaneous mixed trash. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA HealthCare System estimates that it will dispose of approximately 520 tons of Non-Hazardous Solid Waste annually. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA HealthCare System staff/personnel will deliver and dump the Non-Hazardous Solid Waste at Contractor's Landfill facility roughly once per week, four (4) time a month, Monday through Friday generally between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays. The Contractor is required to follow all applicable Local, State and Federal guidelines for the disposal of the waste and to hold all applicable licenses and permits required to perform the services. The Contractor shall provide weight tickets to facilitate tracking of the amount of solid waste that is being disposed of each month. The Contractor's quoted price shall be based on tonnage, MSW, taxes and any environmental fee associated with waste disposal. The landfill disposal site must be within 20 miles of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA HealthCare System. The contract Period of Performance shall consist of a one (1) year base period effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015. This requirement is Unrestricted. The requirement NAICS code is 562212. No hard copy solicitations will be provided. The complete solicitation package is attached hereto.
