***04 Dec 2014: Addition of the Furtures Brief Post Event Survey*** ***03 Dec 2014: Addition of AMRDEC Overview Booklet.*** ***01 Dec 2014: Addition of PwerPoint Slides that will be presented during the AMRDEC Technology Forum** In accordance with the Office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense's Better Buying Power 2.0 Initiative, the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) is hosting a Futures Brief to Industry - A collaboration of government, academia and industry, on December 2, 2014 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Central Standard Time (CST) at the Bob Jones Auditorium, Sparkman Complex, Building 5304, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The purpose is to provide a forum for information exchange and discussion with stakeholders and interested parties, including industry, academia, other Service laboratories and other government agencies. This event will focus on AMRDEC's core technical capabilities, acquisition needs, science and technology (S&T) programs, technical challenges and roadblocks. The event will include presentations by AMRDEC leaders and subject matter experts, a panel discussion, Q&A and hardware displays. Networking is expected and encouraged. The AMRDEC is part of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), which has the mission to develop technology and engineering solutions for America's Soldiers. RDECOM is a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command. AMC is the Army's premier provider of materiel readiness -- technology, acquisition support, materiel development, logistics power projection, and sustainment -- to the total force, across the spectrum of joint military operations. If a Soldier shoots it, drives it, flies it, wears it, eats it or communicates with it, AMC provides it. Location: The AMRDEC Futures Brief to Industry will be hosted by the AMRDEC at the Bob Jones Auditorium, Sparkman Complex, Building 5304, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Registration and Access to Redstone Arsenal: This is a no-fee event and participation is limited to four (4) company representatives (this may change based on the number of responses). Companies are required to pre-register - no foreign nationals will be allowed to attend. Registration will close at 4:00PM CST on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Pre Registration is required. Walk ins will not be permitted. All expenses associated with attendance will be the responsibility of the participant(s). Please use the attached form (AMRDEC Futures Brief to Industry _Registration Form.pdf) to register. When viewing the file please quote mark enable all features quote mark. This will allow you to fill in your information electronically. Please note that you are not confirmed for this event until you receive an email confirmation. Registration requests will NOT be taken by telephone. No late registrations will be accepted, no exceptions. Attendees must present a current photo ID (driver's license, military ID, or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration Form to gain entry into the event. A Government Issued I.D. is also required for admittance onto Redstone Arsenal. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. AMRDEC will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
