Description

SOURCES SOUGHT The VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT has a requirement for to add 11,910SF of new construction for a new Psychiatric Emergency Room (PER) to include a space inviting to women with Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The new space will be attached to the existing Medical Emergency Room (MER) on the first floor of the West Wing of Building #2. The project also includes renovation of approximately 4,270SF of existing PER and administrative space. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs, VOSBs, Small Businesses, and Large Businesses that have the experience in building expansion projects within a hospital environment and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer not later than 6 calendar days from the date of this notice via email to Karla.Rotondo@va.gov. The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; (2) Five (5) comparable projects of similar size and scope within the past three (3) years for a building expansion of approximately 12,000SF and renovation of existing medical and administrative space approximately 4200SF within a hospital environment; (3) Proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude; (4) Proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude; and (5) Proof of cost control successes on prior projects. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to submit all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 6 calendar days from the date of this notice, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, or Small Business firms.
