- Description
- The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a contract to Robert E. Mason & Associates, Inc., 1726 N. Graham Street, Charlotte, NC 28206-3026 (Cage Code: 3UJH5) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract for software maintenance of AMS Machinery Manager for the CSI 2120/2140 for a base period of twelve (12) months with provisions for two (2) twelve-month options. Market research has determined that Robert E. Mason & Associates is the only source capable of providing the required software as they are the sole distributor authorized by Emerson Process Management in North Carolina. Emerson Process Management is the designer, developer, and integrator of the AMS Machinery Manager software. The technical data was developed by and is the sole property of Emerson Process Management. Therefore, the government intends to procure these products on a sole source basis from Robert E. Mason & Associates. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within seven (7) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Point of contact for this requirement is Nicholas R.
