Description: The Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to issue a solicitation for the time charter of one vessel which will function as a surface support vessel for the U.S. West Coast. The vessel will be employed as an Undersea Warfare surface support ship. The vessel's primary mission will be to support U.S. Navy (USN) submarine rescue utilizing the USN Submarine Rescue Chamber Flyaway System (SRCFS), Assessment Underwater Work System (AUWS) and the US Navy Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS). The vessel will also serve as an SRDRS training platform. The vessel may also serve as escort for submarine sea trials, as well as a diving platform utilizing existing and developing portable diving systems, and other lawful missions as required by the US Navy and permitted by the vessels' certifications and classifications. a. Duration of contract: One Firm Period and four option periods b. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. 17.
