Description

This is an amendment to a previously issued pre-solicitation notice: The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS), 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, New York intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IB) VA528-14-B-0079 for Batavia Emergency Generator Systems Upgrades (Project No. 528A4-13-201. Work will consist of but not be limited to: Install three 350kw diesel generators, including enclosure, fuel system, paralleling switchboard, step up transformer, load bank and associated foundation and site work. Selective demolition of two existing emergency generators located in building 12 including removal of existing fuel tank and associated site work. Rework of control wiring from existing transfer switches to new switchgear. Work will be performed at the VAWNYHS, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238210 with a size standard of $14.0 Million. The construction estimate for this project is between $1,000,000. and $2,000,000. This procurement is set-aside for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Award will be made on a competitive basis to the responsible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business responding to this solicitation in accordance with the solicitation materials. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL: Solicitation materials consisting of provisions, clauses, specifications, drawings, etc. will be available on http://www.fedbizopps.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about December 31, 2014. All interested parties (subs & primes) should register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov as an 'Interested Vendor' so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. A bidder's mailing list, list of interested parties WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation.
