- Description
- Performance Work Statement Sources Sought Notification Removal and Recycling on Former Contamination Site at Fort Bragg, North Carolina This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal. This request does not obligate the government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is conducting preliminary research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors to perform land clearing and stump removal located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The objective of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to provide Fort Bragg support for the Environmental Compliance Program through disposal and recycling of solid waste generated through other activities. An approximately 5.3 acre lot, located at the intersection of Gruber Road and Butner Road, has primarily been clear cut with only underbrush, small trees (not suitable for harvesting), and stumps ranging in size from 12" to 36" remaining. Approximately 58 stumps were observed and will require grinding to a minimum of level with ground surface. All chips/grindings will remain on premise. The lot was a former area of concern due to heating oil and solvent contamination in the shallow aquifer due to numerous underground storage tanks from the surrounding lots. Potential underbrush, vegetative debris, concrete, fencing, and former water supply well components shall be moved and consolidated at a safe location for removal and recycling. The remaining material that is too large for on-site grinding and any of the aforementioned debris will be loaded onto trucks and hauled to the Fort Bragg Landfill, where it will be recycled or properly disposed of. All interest firms with 113310 as an approved NAICS code have until 16 Decembrer 2014 at 12:00 pm (Eastern Time) to submit the following information: - Name & Addess of your Firm - Point of Contact (name/phone/email) - Business Size: Large Business, Small Business to include designation as HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Business. - Evidence of capabilities to perform comparable work in the area of land clearing and stump removal on three recent projects (not more than five years old).
