- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621492 with a size standard of $10 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed-price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin March 1, 2015 through February 28, 2016 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about January 1, 2015 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) requires contractual services to provide their medical expertise and services for therapeutic apheresis procedures on-site at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The contractor will be required to provide the Therapeutic Apheresis services by qualified medical and nursing personnel, all blood manipulation equipment and all disposable sets (including 40 micron filters) required for the performance of the procedure. Contractor shall provide direct supervision and control of his personnel to complete therapeutic apheresis procedures provided to the MVAHCS. Equipment and supplies provided by the contractor must be FDA-licensed medical devices and only FDA approved disposable are to be used in the routine performance of therapeutic apheresis procedures. Disposables shall be sterile pyrogen-free, single-use disposables. All equipment used must be maintained according to manufacturers' specifications. This includes routine preventive maintenance which is performed and documented as well as scheduled quality control checks on equipment. Documentation of maintenance and repairs on each piece of hardware shall be kept on file by the contractor in an equipment maintenance log and will be made available to the MVAHCS upon request.
