- The FAA Western Acquisition Service Area, has a construction effort for the relocation of a Runway End Identifier Light (REIL) on Runway 18 at the Del Norte Airport in Crescent City, CA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 with a size standard of $14 million. The estimated dollar range for this requirement is $100,000 to $250,000. Performance and payment bonds are required. Project Scope: Demolish and Salvage Old Rwy 18 REIL “ Remove and store REIL power & control cabinet, individual control cabinets, and identifier unit assemblies for later installation. Remove and dispose of old REIL foundations, conduits, and cables. Relocate Rwy 18 REIL “ Construct Power & Control Station (P/C Sta) and IUA foundations; construct gravel access areas; install conduits, vaults, and cables; bore conduit under runway; splice new cable to existing cable; install isolation transformer in airport edge light can; install REIL and power equipment; install Earth Electrode System (EES). Other miscellaneous work shown on plans or covered in these specifications. Responses to this announcement must be received by Friday, December 19, 2014. All interested offerors must submit the attached Business Declaration. The solicitation will be provided on or about the week of December 29, 2014. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
