Draft Scope of Work **This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. ** The National Park Service is seeking a potential sources interested in proposing on an acquisition for: ¿Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide critical conservation and restoration of a monumental plaster sculpture of "Abraham Lincoln: The Man (Standing Lincoln)" by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This cast, currently in 21 plaster segments, was used in 1965 for a bronze cast in Mexico City, gift of the United States. The 12-foot tall plaster has not been conserved since that time, and requires critical care for its preservation. Conservation will be followed by the creation and exhibition of a modern bronze cast of the sculpture at Saint Gaudens National Historic Site, Cornish, NH. The statue will be made in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. ¿ The timing for the completion of this project is critical. 2015 coincides with a number of important dates including the 150th anniversary of the death of Abraham Lincoln and the end of the Civil War. It also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Saint-Gaudens NHS. The unveiling will be the signature event at the end of the Civil War Sesquicentennial and anniversary of Saint-Gaudens NHS in September, 2015. Project must be completed by August 21, 2015. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to identify the availability of qualified sources. The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price. Work to be performed under the contract will be within the North American Classification System (NAICS) code as 327420 ¿ Sculptures/Statuary (e.g., gypsum, plaster of paris) manufacturing. If you have the capability and are interested in this acquisition, submit a detailed capability statement, not to exceed 25 pages that identify the following information: 1.Provide documentation/reports with images of conservation projects of heroic-scale, historic plaster sculpture. 2.Provide documentation/reports with images of projects of heroic-scale, of bronze traditional-styled sculpture done in the style and technique of Augustus Saint-Gaudens. 3.Point of contact including phone number, physical and e-mail address. 4.Size status and/or SBA certification program of your firm. 5.CAGE Code for your firm. 6.Positive statement of interest to submit a proposal.
