Description
Synopsis: F-16 Interface Bus Printed Wiring Board (I/O Board) NSN: 5998-01-555-8489WF NAICS: 334418 Sources Sought Synopsis: FA8251-14-R-IOBoard Classification Code: 59 1. NOTICE 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if future efforts can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334418, which has a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for future procurements. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 1.2 This notice is a Sources Sought, and is not a request for competitive proposals, quotations or an invitation for bid. Since this Sources Sought does not represent a current requirement, response is voluntary and the Government assumes no liability to reimburse contractors for either the effort or the associated costs to respond, or for any information provided. These costs remain solely the responsibility of the responding contractor. Information provided will be used solely for planning and market research purposes in determining the competitive atmosphere for these assets. 2. SCOPE 2.1 AFLCMC/WNABC has a valid requirement and is seeking contractors who have skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully build the I/O Board. If a contract is awarded, it is anticipated to be a one-time buy. 2.2 The I/O Board is part of the Stores System Tester (SST) Instrument Unit (IU) for the F-16 weapon system. 2.3 Prequalification is required prior to being considered for contract award. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control authority in order to maintain the quality of the part. The approved sources retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, and technical data that are not economically available to the government, and the data and knowledge are essential to maintaining the quality of the part. P/N 8353244P001 is a BAE drawing. A potential new source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures as defined with the Source Qualification Statement (SQS). 3.
