- Synopsis VA528-15-B-0055: This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Plumbing/Heating/Air Conditioning contractor operating under NAICS code 238220 to fulfill a requirement to replace the buried steam and condensate lines between the Access Vault, located to the northwest of Building 16, and Building 12at the VA Medical Center 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua NY 14424, according to the statement of work, drawings, and specifications that will accompany the solicitation.. Work includes, but is not limited to, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. Project Number is 528A5-14-554. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The Contractor shall : remove and replace approximately 500 linear feet of 8" steam carrier piping, 3" condensate carrier piping, as well as the 26" diameter conduit piping and legacy concrete vault sections as described in the Contract Documents including the Plans, Specifications and Project Scope Documents. This includes but is not limited to: asbestos abatement and 3rd Party Air Monitoring, Demolition, Debris Removal, Temporary Building Utility Services, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work. Estimated construction magnitude is $500,000 - $1,000,000. The firm must be a Plumbing/Heating/Air Conditioning firm approved under NAICS: 238220, size standard: $14 million. The bidder shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about January 2, 2015. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this IFB. These dates are estimates.
