Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to solicit and negotiate a fixed price, sole source contract modification under contract N00019-11-C-0045 to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) to add an additional requirement for the procurement of up to 30 FY 15 Lot 19 F414-GE-400 Engines and up to 30 Devices. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C ) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." GEAE is the sole originator, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F414-GE-400 Engine, and is the only known source with the requisite technical knowledge, specialized expertise, facilities, capability, tooling and technical data, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish these requirements within the timeframe required. All respondents must submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate respondent's ability to perform the Governments needs within the required timeframe.
