Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, Puget Sound Health Care System, located at 1660 S Columbian Way, Seattle, WA 98108, in accordance with FAR 13.501, intends to solicit from a single source. Leica BioSystems has sole proprietary rights for servicing this equipment. The NAICS Code is 811219 and the size standard is $20.5 million. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, or Single Sourcing, is 41 U.S.C. 253(c), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide Pre-Contract Inspection for all LEICA lab equipment located at the Puget Sound Health Care System (PSHCS), Seattle campus. Responses must be received no later than 10:00 am on December 18, 2014. All responses must be e-mailed to michael.kuchyak@va.gov.
