- Description
- The F-35 Joint Program Office intends to award a base plus options delivery order to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Fort Worth, TX for Block Upgrade requirements. The proposed delivery order will provide for the 91 previously delivered aircraft under LRIPs 2 through 5 and two aircraft to be delivered under LRIP 7, to be upgraded to Block 3i and 3F configurations. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Lockheed Martin Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received within twenty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this delivery order upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The award date for the contract action resulting from this synopsis is anticipated to be during the first quarter of fiscal year 2016.
