- Description
- The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on the extensive market research performed. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Illumina Inc located at 5200 Illumina Way (formerly 5200 Research Pl) San Diego, CA 92122 USA, for one (1) NextSeq 500 Sequencing System, one (1) BaseSpace Onsite Solution, and shipping and insurance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror's who believe they can meet the Government's requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requirement: -Scalable throughput to reduce reagent waste for single sequencing runs producing from 25 Giga Base pairs (Gb) to over 100 Gb of sequence, with scaled reagent kits. -Short reads 75 to 300 bases -Run times under 36 hours for a 100 Gb single run. -Integrated on-site server and hard drive to store, analyze and share data -Fully automated Paired-End Sequencing -Capability to load and process prepped libraries onto the instrument without additional sample preparation equipment. -Fit on a maximum bench top space of 23inches (in.) x 21in. x 25in. -Data Quality greater than 75% of bases with Q scores greater than 30 -No increase in read error when reading homopolymers -Capability to process organisms with low (less than 35 percent (%)) Guanine-Cytosine (GC) content. -Compatible reagent kits for flexible run formats to handle applications for the following: Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) sequencing, small RNA sequencing, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)-sequencing, low sample input (less than or equal to 500 nanograms (ng) DNA) sequencing, whole genome sequencing, amplicon sequencing, and library sequencing. -Shall include a 4U server -Shall include software for data management and analysis -Installation and training shall be done within 60 days after delivery -Shall include twelve (12) months software license fee -Shall include twelve (12) months warranty (including parts and labor) -Shall include one (1) user manual Responses to this notice are due on or before 02 January 2015 at 1100 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST) by email at phillip.j.amador.civ@mail.mil.
